Recognizing the Signs of Burnout
Burnout isn't just "being tired." It is a state of chronic physical and emotional exhaustion. If a student is staring at a textbook for three hours but turning zero pages, or experiencing sudden insomnia and dread, they are burning out. The traditional advice to "just push through" is dangerous.
The 80/20 Rule for Board Prep
Applying the Pareto Principle (80/20 rule) is vital for board exams. 80% of the exam questions come from 20% of the core concepts. Instead of blindly reading every word of the textbook, students must analyze previous years' question papers (PYQs).
Furthermore, implement mandatory "No-Study Zones." A student must have a designated time (e.g., 8 PM to 9 PM) where opening a book is strictly forbidden. Using a habit tracker to ensure they are getting 8 hours of sleep and taking daily walks is just as important as tracking their math syllabus.
